Longshots Baseball Senior Division will be all about the players, and their further development and exposure. ONLY.  
 
We will:

be a premier baseball program for players desiring to develop and showcase their skills & abilities, in order to get to the "next level". And, be reasonably cost effective.

be competitive at the highest levels of play in our age bracket through superior skill development, effort and teamwork.

be an invaluable resource for parents and players seeking information and advice on the recruiting and draft process, along with being capable of giving valued recommendations.

continue to develop honest and forthright relationships with college coaches and pro scouts who, in turn, understand what kind of players play in a Longshots uniform. 

continue to be known for our players' effort and how they "play the game".

work and play in an team-first atmosphere, providing support and healthy competition for each other.

set players up to succeed, not fail.

be a positive influence on the personal development of all our program members, keeping in healthy balance the developing young man/ player relationship.

be a positive influence and model for other travel teams and baseball programs.

be inclusive vs. exclusive. 

develop players who value and respect their training and development enough to "give back" by helping train other youth players.

We will not:

prioritize winning over skill and experience development, or showcasing.

create rules that do not allow us to keep baseball as a game.

be an "elitist" program. Ever. 
  
Our scorecard for success will be:

each player's career portfolio of accomplishments and his recognition of our contribution to it.

a player's desire to be part of (or remain part of) our program.

the clear evidence of our players' enjoyment of the experience.

a parent's recognition of our contribution to their son's overall development.

watching our players take the time and interest in developing younger players.

We take this very seriously. It is the core of our culture. We will not be the program running off players each year to make room for the next 10-20. Few players have left the Senior Division. College and pro guys know what we've built here. And based on their feedback and encouragement, we will continue to build our program this way.

We work equally hard for ALL our players, regardless of where they project to land at the "next level."

That's why the players and their parents are our best references. They can best explain how & why we're different. And why it works so well for everybody!
